DESCRIPTION:Day 1 schedule\nGetting things started group ride at 4:00pm \nEvent description\nBack To Dirt Conservancy is presenting the Sanford Trail Festival for the weekend of October 28–29\, 2023. This will be an annual event showcasing our area’s mountain biking trails. The Sanford Trail Festival weekend will encompass a wide variety of events and activities to promote Sanford\, NC and Lee County’s outdoor recreation opportunities\, as well as the entertainment and dining opportunities available to our residents and visitors. \nActivities this year include: \n\nKids’ rides and races\nMountain bike skills sessions and clinics hosted by professional mountain biker Jeff Lenosky\nGuided group rides\, micro-enduro race\, and gravel rides\nVendors\, entertainment\, merchandise and equipment raffles\n\nThis event is a significant fundraiser for Back to Dirt Conservancy. Distance of ride groups will vary and be tailored to those attending. Ride distance could be a few hundred yards up to a full lap of 8 miles. Part of the intention of this ride will be to take time before and after the ride as needed to teach riding skills and basics of bike maintenance. \nBTD Conservancy has a few extra bikes they will bring in case some new riders don’t have one yet. The goal is to eventually have a Dirt Camp trailer at the ride full of tools and extra bikes to loan. If you know anyone who would be interested in helping to financially support the Dirt Camp trailer\, please email Charlie or Brian at info@backtodirtconservancy.com.
